We have two flats above the Centre - a three-bed and a one-bed - which are offered at reasonable rent to provide decent accommodation for local young people. These are currently fully tenanted, but if you want to go onto our waiting list, please contact us. Please also refer to our Housing Needs page.
We know that housing is the single biggest difficulty for local people, because of very limited supply, high prices and the squeeze from second homes. Our two flats are a start - but we want to help improve the situation long-term by steadily building, buying or leasing more accommodation locally, to provide secure housing at fair rents. We have the same legal structure as a Community Land Trust, and want to ensure that the new housing is reserved for meeting local need. As always with us, the profits will be reinvested in the community - perhaps by paying a Support Worker for Older People, a Youth Worker, or similar.
